Joe Stafford is an associate focusing his practice on intellectual property matters, namely patent, trademark, and copyright litigation in federal courts. Expertise includes development of Markman briefs, Summary Judgment briefs, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act representations. Joe also has experience in prosecuting U.S. trademark applications, including searches, opinion letters and responding to Office Actions.

While attending law school, Joe focused his studies on intellectual property, and obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. In addition, Joe was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and served as Executive Justice for the John Marshall Moot Court Executive Board. In January 2011, Joe participated in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition where he placed second. Joe was a research assistant for Dean John Corkery, updating an Illinois and Federal Evidence Treatise. Joe is proficient in Spanish.
