Ms. Price is proficient in music copyright issues in the digital world, authors’ recapture rights in copyright transfers, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Ms. Price also has experience in the prosecution of U.S. trademark applications including trademark searches, opinion letters, cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Ms. Price is a classically-trained violinist which is a natural fit for this area of law by understanding and striving to protect the authors’ rights, whether musical or textual.

Ms. Price is a summa cum laude graduate of Florida Atlantic University’s Commercial Music Program where her studies included music law, music publishing, music marketing, copyright and trademark law. Ms. Price also headed the music licensing division of the student-run record label, Hoot Recordings. In furtherance of her career in entertainment law, Ms. Price attended the University of Miami School of Law where she focused her studies on intellectual property graduating cum laude. Ms. Price served as Vice President of UM Law’s Intellectual Property Law Society, was a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and received the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award in Intellectual Property. Ms. Price was also the recipient of an Outstanding Merit Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest grade in Nimmer’s Applied Topics in Advanced Music Copyright Law. In addition to her focus on intellectual property, Ms. Price took part in UM Law’s nationally-acclaimed Litigation Skills Program and earned a Certificate in Recognition of Invaluable Leadership in Public Service for her work in connection with the Federal Public Defender’s Office.

Ms. Price has volunteered with LegalArt, an organization dedicated to providing artists with affordable legal services, and the Financial Literacy Project, an organization that aids disadvantaged children.
